Guarantees

We at Glevum Conservatories hereby guarantee the following:

For a period of ten years from the installation date - the failure of sealed glass units, the performance and quality of all foundations and base brickwork of conservatories and porches, PVCu frames, and the colour fastness of PVCu profiles provided that the customer regularly washes such profiles with warm soapy water.

This part of the guarantee can be extended for a further five years. See our condition of sale for full details.

For a period of five years from the installation date - gaskets, hinges and locking systems.

For a period of one year from the installation date - the provision of electricity, gas or plumbing appliances such as light fittings or radiators.

The guarantee given do not apply to any defects in the goods which occur as a result of:-

fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, misuse or abnormal working conditions
failure to follow the companys instructions or the alteration or repair of the goods without the companys prior written approval
failure to regulary clean the product which results in mould or discolouration of beading, silicon or gaskets
colour fastness of window and door furniture e.g. brass door knocker & letterplate and cat/dog flaps carry no guarantee.

Glevum does not operate a twenty-four hour emergency service but will attend to all claims made under guarantee as soon as possible.

Claims for work that is not covered by guarantee are subject to a 'call out charge', the figure for which can be requested when you make the service appointment. Should you wish us to carry out the excluded repair work you will be quoted a price prior to work being undertaken.

Security guarantee - Glevum Conservatories recognise that burglary is a common and distressing crime. That is why our Managing Director, Gary Jones, is also a Director of Gloucestershire 'Crimestoppers' charity - so that we can stay one step ahead of the burglars. In fact, on the advice of Police Architectural Liaison Officers and the Fire Service, Glevum Conservatories install, free of charge, 'anti-bandit' laminated glass on high risk windows (subject to Surveyors' advice). We're so confident with the increased security our products offer that we're able to provide two security guarantees :

Glevum Conservatories will replace and install, free of charge, any products of ours through which malicious persons force entry into your property to cause damage, injury or theft. This excludes breakages to fixed panels or glazing.
Our conservatories and windows may save you up to 10% on your Building, Contents and Valued Personal Possessions Insurance. Ask our design consultant for details.

Transfer of guarantees - Glevum guarantees can be transferred to new homeowners within 3 years of the installation date. A request to transfer a guarantee must be made in writing within 28 days of the property changing hands. There is a £75 plus vat charge to transfer a guarantee and register a new owner.
